Tulsa Zoo and Mohawk Park

Located inside Tulsa’s Mohawk Park, the third largest municipal park in the country, the Tulsa Zoo and Living Museum was recently voted America’s favorite zoo. Its 78-acre, park-like setting is home to 1,500 animals and 436 species, from the polar bear and lions to the South African penguins and Asian elephants. Visit the Tropical American Rainforest, Chimpanzee Connection or the Children’s Zoo, ride your favorite animal on the Zoo carousel and board the Zoo Train for an open-air, moving tour of the Zoo’s exciting exhibits.

Discoveryland

More than a theatre, it truly is a “total evening of western entertainment for you and your family”! Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “OKLAHOMA!” and “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.” Western-Style BBQ & Fixins prepared in DiscoveryLand!’s own ranch kitchen, Aunt Eller’s Country Store filled with western crafts and collectibles, handcrafted souvenirs and other unique gifts, Indian Trading Post featuring authentic Native American art, beadwork, crafts and jewelry, Old Fashioned Snacks & Desserts complete with Berries ‘n Cream, Oklahoma Mud Pies, popped corn and other familiar drinks and eats! Yet, it is even larger, lovelier and livelier when presented in its home state in the GREAT OUTDOORS in their spectacular 2,000 seat amphitheater complex!

Oklahoma Aquarium

Located along the Arkansas River, the Oklahoma Aquarium’s one million gallons of water and 200 exhibits are home to hundreds of aquatic species – most notably, the world’s largest bull sharks in captivity. See just how massive they are as you walk through the aquarium’s huge acrylic shark tunnel and dome. You might even see them in action on feeding day. While you’re there, don’t miss the stingrays in the touch tank and the largest and most comprehensive antique fishing tackle collection in the world.

Big Splash

Located at 21st and Yale in midtown, this large water park features the largest wave pool in Oklahoma, as well as five water slides, a water roller coaster, a kiddie pool for the little ones, and more. Open seasonally, this place provides the perfect escape from Tulsa’s hot summer days. Admission is good for all day, so bring the kids and don’t forget the sunscreen!
