BOK Center’s Construction Progress
After three years of construction, we are just about five weeks away from the opening night of the new BOK Center. For a construction update, you can visit the BOK Center’s website and get the latest. We know the toilets should be working fine, since they recently had hundreds of children repeatedly flush the Center’s nearly 350 public toilets and urinals. (Hosting a “Super Flush” is a tradition for new arenas to make sure the plumbing is working smoothly before the real opening.)
One Tulsa man captured the entire construction process on his camera from his office in the BOK Tower on the 50th floor. An architecture and photography buff, Richard George took a total of 98 pictures within the three year construction span. Using over 40 of those images, you can see the patch of dirt slowly transform into a magnificent building with the slideshow below.
