Improvements for Broken Arrow
Broken Arrow citizens, don’t forget to vote tomorrow. On December 8, the City of Broken Arrow will be asking residents to vote on a 38-million dollar bond package.
City leaders say the items that are up for a vote are issues City Hall has gotten call after call on — issues that residents want addressed.
Residents will also be asked if they want to spend 12-million dollars on parks, seven-million on public safety and three-million to tackle flooding problems.
There will not be a tax increase if the issue passes, which is good news considering the current economic status. This is made possible by new bonds simply replacing old bonds that have been paid off.
On the other hand, if residents vote no, taxes will decrease after about two to three years depending on the size of your house and cost to your home. But, it could be a drop of 50 or 80 dollars a year.
The Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce has a website with more information on the bond issues. It’s www.brokenarrowvotes.com
