Mayfest KidZone

kidzoneMayfest’s KidZone, which will be located in the new H.A. Chapman Centennial Green at 6th and Main, will feature hands-on activities for children of all ages as well as family friendly entertainment during this year’s Festival, May 14th – 17th.

Art projects include eco-friendly collages, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, temporary tattoos, easel painting, beaded bracelets and a chance to decorate your own bear.  In addition, student groups will perform daily at the KidZone stage.

On Saturday, May 16th, KidZone will feature The Children’s Hospital at St. Francis, which will be hosting their Bear Clinic from 11am – 2pm.  Children are encouraged to bring a stuffed animal or pick up and decorate a bear at the Festival for the clinic.  The program is intended to ease children’s fears about hospitals and doctors.  Also on Saturday, there will be a balloon artist from 2pm-7pm.

Be sure to visit www.tulsamayfest.org for more information, including a complete KidZone schedule.  All KidZone activities are free and open to the public.
