New Website Tracks Tulsa’s Exercise

A new interactive website has been launched for the city of Tulsa that will track the community as it strives to exercise 1 million miles.

Mayor Kathy Taylor is challenging residents to engage in regular physical activity, including walking, running and biking, and log their miles at TulsaMillionMiles.com.

The goal, she said, is for the entire community to become healthier as it surpasses 1 million miles within 12 months.

The website has many features to help users keep track of their progress. An odometer at the top of the page will display the total number of miles Tulsans have logged, but individuals can create free personal profiles so they can keep track of their own miles.

Other tools on the Web site include dietary and nutritional information, a mileage-to-calorie converter, trail maps, park locators and a calendar that can be used to register for fitness events like races, fun runs and bike rides.
