Tulsa City Council Meeting

Tulsa has a new opportunity to grow – and you can help.

As you know, the Tulsa City Council has been discussing the relocation of the Tulsa Drillers stadium to a new location downtown. The lease terms have been agreed to, in principle, and now the remaining issue is the creation of a proposed public trust that will own the stadium and oversee the redevelopment of land surrounding it.

On September 11, the City Council will vote on whether to approve the creation of this trust. They likely will debate the issue and take comments from Tulsa citizens as well.

They MUST have citizens present if you support the issue. Your visible presence sends a strong message to the Councilors. If you do support the trust, you can pick up a complimentary Drillers t-shirt before the meeting.

RSVP
To confirm your attendance, please e-mail Jesse Boudiette. Shirts and hats can be picked up right before the Council meeting at Baxter’s Interurban Grill.

Unfortunately, if I were to show up it would be in opposition.

Drillers can barely pack the stadium they are now and moving it and spending more money on it isn’t going to help it at all..
