Tax Amnesty for Tulsans

The State Tax Commission is giving Tulsans who owe back taxes for the year an opportunity to wipe the slate clean with their Clean Slate Program.

Beginning today, the Oklahoma Tax Commission is opening a rare window of opportunity for tax amnesty that will continue through November 14, 2008. During this two-month period, you can pay off any taxes owed to the state for the last calendar year without penalty or interest.

This program is to encourage people owing state taxes to come forward to pay them without penalty or interest. If you don’t pay by November 14th, penalties and interest are back in effect – and they’ll be doubled.
